You Found Me!

Hey, I'm Rachel

Here’s my story.

I’m a GenX woman, wife, and mother. I have a pretty baller education, and a solid corporate resume.

Professionally speaking, I’ve done the full-time working mom thing with the commute to match. It nearly broke me. I tried the stay-at-home thing. It nearly crushed my soul. And then I struggled, questioned, wondered, and wished for something in the middle.

After all, I was still ambitious. I just needed something more gentle.

I ultimately started my own business and that was a tremendous game changer for me. It allows me to do meaningful(ish) work, generate my own revenue, create a schedule that its my family’s need – oh, and I also get to work out every day. It’s not perfect – I’ve finally accepted that nothing will be.

But it meets my need to both gentle on myself, but also still ambitious.

In my reflections on the path I’ve taken (and continue to travel), I believe so much of my experience is grounded in my identity as a Gen X woman. We are in many ways the forgotten generation of women, and I hope this can become a place of insight, community, information sharing, and all the good stuff we need to lift each other up.
